Power Outages in Mali AI + OCR + Python
This project involves a comprehensive analysis of power outages in Mali. I have collected a dataset of communiqués issued by the Mali power company, which detail various power outages. Utilizing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, I converted these documents, originally in image format, into machine-readable text.
The core of this project lies in applying AI techniques to extract and analyze pertinent information from these texts. I focused on key metrics such as:
The number of power outages.
The duration of each outage.
The cumulative duration of all outages.
This data was meticulously processed and organized into a JSON format, which was then integrated into a spreadsheet for further analysis and visualization.




Mali Budget Analysis 2022 Python
This project applies data science techniques to analyze the 2022 budget of Mali. The primary focus is on identifying which state departments and institutions, including the Supreme Court and the Haute Cour de Justice, are receiving the most funding for investments, salaries, and other expenditures. Additionally, a Python-based video presentation highlights the ranking of expenditures from highest to lowest.

I used Pandas and Geopandas to convert a PDF to csv then used the information to show how many people voted for which candidate in which region.
